The website, which can be accessed thru www.ginatilan.gov.ph, is being hosted by the Central Visayas Information Sharing Network (CVISNet).  It is designed using the lates in open source technology.

How to get here:

Ginatilan is accessible by various land transport vehicles from the South Bus Terminal in Cebu City.  It is a 4-hour bus ride from Cebu City by the following:

  • Ceres and Rough Rider buses via Barili route.
  • Ceres and Sunrays buses via Oslob route.
  • Rented cars and vehicles

From the neigboring island of Negros Oriental, Ginatilan is a 20-minute fast craft ride from Sibulan to Liloan, Santander and Tampi to Bato, Samboan.

From Liloan, Santander, you can reach Ginatilan through the following:

  • Ceres Bus (Via Oslob route) going to Bato - transfer to another Ceres Bus going to Cebu City via Barili route.
  • Hired motorcycles (habal-habal).
  • Jeepneys

 From Bato, Samboan you can reach Ginatilan through the following:

  • Ceres Bus going to Cebu City via Barili route.
  • Hired motorcycles (habal-habal)
  • Jeepneys

 
Moving around Ginatilan: 

Motorcycle (habal-habal):  the major mode of transportation to and from the upland barangays. Fare depends on the distance of the barangay from the town proper. 

Tricycle:  widely available around the town.  Minimum fare is PhP 6.00 depending on how far you want to go.

Trisikad:  usually goes around town proper. Minimum fare of PhP 5.00 per passenger.
